WOODEN BOXES:

During the packaging into the wooden boxes you have to take into consideration that it concerns mostly overseas consignments transported by ship during a quite long time. On the surface of the furniture a vapour could condense, which together with a salty water could damage the varnish of the furniture. Therefore it is important:

  • to wrap furniture exclusively into the paper (e.g. corrugated paper, or humidity absorbing paper)
  • such wrapped furniture put into prepared wooden box, which is covered with foil inside to avoid penetrating of humidity.
  • big and heavy pieces are important to be fixed on the bottom palette to avoid their movement and/or damage
  • finally the box has to be labelled with notice "DO NOT TURN OVER", or "ATTENTION! - GLASS" and with the address of recipient / addressee
